Montresor continues leading Fortunato until they come to a small niche in the catacombs, where a hook and chain is waiting on the wall.  Montresor hooks Fortunato quickly – his reflexes are dulled by the Medoc.  Using bricks and mortar, Montresor walls Fortunato in, basically burying him alive in spite of the connoisseur’s screams and pleading!  Spooooooky!
